Yes, it is all loaded into memory.
Create it's own hash? Just do a linear search?
Analog uses internal hash tables, which are *far* more efficient than any database (assuming the entire table fits into physical memory).

So if one wants to run Analog on a limited machine but still have a comprehensive DNS cache....?
