Hi, The video applet on full screen is not-so-great for a small video on my 17.5 inch wide screen and the maximum display size of the applet is a little small for not-so-great eye sight.
The video applet display apparently has a limit on the maximum size, triggered by a stop in vertical expansion. The horizontal expansion is unrestricted and creates black space margins. In head banging it, prior to the last point upgrade, I managed to break the video out of the applet display into its own window with decorations, completely resizeable, no controls, still responding to Amarok. That was perfect except it seemed a result of an error that I have only reproduced randomly a number of times without learning a thing. Is this a feature I am missing due to some mixing of versions on my machine? If not, maybe this would make a worthwhile feature since it seems already achievable and is very useful. Only phonon-xine works for me. Phonon-gstreamer produces no display, phonon-vlc turns off the equalizer. I am running Amarok, backported from testing, on Debian stable. Phonon-xine, phonon-vlc & phonon-gstremer from stable. This is on Gnome with KDE libraries for Amarok. All versions I can think of listed below.
