Finally: I strongly agree that we should release an Alpha version as
soon as possible. We should just merge the open pull requests, a
release it. I know how to create tags and so. But I don't know what
version would it be. Nor I am familiar with KDE's procedures and
announcements. Maybe you and Heiko can help me with that, and we'll be
able to have a first Alpha this weekend. What do you say?

Creating the tag is easy, but we also need to grab the translations
from SVN and sign the tarball. But there's a script for that, releaseme.

Version-wise, I'd say we could go with 2.9.70, but somebody is probably
using that already and *.80 often indicates beta versions of releases
by KDE. So I suggest .71, which gives us plenty of possible alpha
versions before reaching .80.

Oh, if you could join #amarok.dev on freenode (I suppose it's bridged to Matrix) we can coordinate this in a more real time fashion.
