Given that this was only a minor version bump (4.8.0 -> 4.8.2) needed for some
cleanup changes, I only said "go forward" on IRC.
If there is a specific problem, this can be always reverted, however I'd be
very unhappy to revert it just "because it wasn't discussed". The main
supporting argument was that latest release of every sane distribution
(including Debian testing) has it.
