Try starting with autoconf. amanda has a whack of .m4 macro
definitions that autoconf will pick up. It will run automake as well.

Sounds reasonmable, but still does not generate the dozen or so
makefiles. Sorta like masybe not all of the build-essentials are found.

And the only thing I see is the recomendation to run autoupdate, which
does not exist, not in $PATH but locate it, run it, as me and sudo, no
great change in the above copious output. So whats next???
Amanda-3.5.1 is installed from armbian repo's but won't run since as yet
there is no amanda.conf. Should I attempt to set that up first? After a
decade since I last used it,, I do not recall what it looks like. Since
I intend to use 5 of these 4T drives as an LVM, is that likely the first
thing to setup? if so how? What manpage should I read first?
