Hi, the reason is because all backups except one are actually not
incremental backups but full backups. Note the "0"s under the "L"
column in the report. The "0" indicates a level 0 or full backup. The
only one that is an incremental backup is the "ml.zudiewien -ome/ingrid"
entry showing a "1" or backup level 1.

Amanda is promoting these entries to a full backup on these runs. See
the Notes section:

planner: Full dump of ml.zudiewiener.com:/var promoted from 6 days ahead.
planner: Full dump of ml.zudiewiener.com:/usr promoted from 6 days ahead.
planner: Full dump of ml.zudiewiener.com:/home/llist promoted from 6 days
ahead.
planner: Full dump of ml.zudiewiener.com:/etc promoted from 6 days ahead.
planner: Full dump of ml.zudiewiener.com:/bin promoted from 6 days ahead.
planner: Full dump of ml.zudiewiener.com:/boot promoted from 6 days ahead.

This usually occurs because either the number of backup entries is small
compared to the runspercycle or there is a large disparity between the
size of the backup entries. It looks like the latter in this case. It
looks like "ml.zudiewien -ome/ingrid" may be considerably larger than
all the rest and thus all the rest are being promoted to full backups
every run because Amanda tries to make the data size backed up per run
as even as possible.

To avoid over promoting, please read about the maxpromoteday parameter
in the amanda.conf manual page or consider putting "ml.zudiewien
-ome/ingrid" in its own config.
