We don't run HACMP here, but I talked with our AIX guru a few minutes
and, depending on an infinite number of variables :-), he thinks Amanda
should work fine.
The only thing that came up was what to do with the /etc/dumpdates (or
GNU tar listed incremental) files. You would want them available on all
the machines so if one goes down, any of the others can pick up whatever
that client was doing for Amanda and still get the right answers w.r.t.
incrementals.
There are numerous ways to do this. One would be for each machine to
send a copy of the files to the others after a run, and for each machine
to do a merge operation (e.g. with Perl) before a run.
