Hallo,
There is a problem, when trying to use Guillemot Maxi Sound Home 64 Studio
- I mean: I can operate all the controls offered by ALSA, I can even record
the sound (tried to record something from microphone) - but I can't hear
anything at all, like there were no cables connected to speakers.
The card itself is, of course, fully operational (checked it from within
FreeDOS), it has ES1868F chip on the board.

It's ALSA package bundled with 2.6.28.1 kernel. From the application's side
(like mp3blaster, record, bmp or the like) all seems to be fully operational,
I can use alsamixer or aumixer to change the settings - but the speakers
are still silent. And one more detail: the card cannot be detected by
alsaconf (ALSA-utils 1.0.14).
What can be the problem?
