I have already looked at that setup (see earlier posts) and it seems to
be fine - what are you getting at? I was responding to your original
post about a lack of an AC97 control and demonstrating it with the
results of:
amixer -c 0
ie, the only thing I see with "AC97" in it is:
Simple mixer control 'IEC958 Playback AC97-SPSA',0
Capabilities: volume volume-joined
Playback channels: Mono
Capture channels: Mono
Limits: 0 - 3
Mono: 3 [100%]
