Hi all,
I have the following ~/.asoundrc in place:
pcm.!default{ type hw card 1 device 0 }
ctl.!default { type hw card 1 device 0 }
# for use with aoss
pcm.dsp0 { type plug slave.pcm "hw:1,0" }
However I still have to launch Stanford's snd with the command:
$ SNDLIB_ALSA_DEVICE="hw:1,0" snd &
to utilise hw:1,0 (an external USB device).
Although this is not strictly an alsa issue if there happen to be any
snd users I'd love to know why this is?
Secondly, and I think this probably _is_ an alsa issue, when I open a
wav file in snd, I get the following message and the sooound iisss
reaallly slooowww ;-)
"alsa_audio_open: hw:1,0: could not set rate to exactly 44100, set to
32000 instead"
How can I correct this?
TIA
sdt
