hi all
i'm having trouble with my midisport 8x8. i can get it working fine if i
boot into windows, load the firmware, then back into linux without
powering it down, but i can't get the firmware loaded in linux. here's
what apppears in /var/log/messages:

another interesting thing is that lsusb -v doesn't list the midisport.
has anybody come across these problems before? any help appreciated!
