Hi,
The system will run for anywhere from 2 hours up to 5 days, then will lock up. No
response, nothing in syslog. We get better results with a 2.4.22 kernel, and are now
trying 2.4.24. We have not had problems loading the firmware, or operating the card.
We are recording and playing back on the same card. We encode a RealNetworks stream,
send it out over the network, then decode and play it back using splay. Has this been
a prolem with the alsa vx222 driver?
I have not tried disabling the network driver yet, as I wanted to make sure the alsa
driver should work.

i've never had problems with any 2.4/2.6 kernels.
does system hang up completely (without any response)?
does it happen after or before loading firmware?

what happens if you disable the network driver?
