Yeah, that did the trick, amixer works now. But now there is also an awful clicking noise in my speakers, and I doubt it was related to the speakers. I could get sound before by running an OSS volume control. After running that script, now I also get sound, but I also get this awful clicking, louder than the actual sound. Any idea what might be causing it?
Isn't that script supposed to run automatically during 'make install'?
