I got something out of the Midiman Duo, but still not quite as good as
under Windows:
If I use usb-uhci module for my USB controller, I get 2 PCMs, pcm0
supports recording at 44.1KHz (arecord -f cd), and works fine.
pcm1 supports recording at 44.1KHz ok, and also at 48KHz, but when I try
that, I get this in the log:
usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# 1646
ALSA ../alsa-kernel/usb/usbaudio.c:628: timeout: still 5 active urbs..
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb.c: USB disconnect on device 4
And after this I have no USB at all until reboot. USB mouse does not work,
nothing.
If instead I use uhci module, I get only one PCM, pcm0, and it supports
44.1KHz, and works fine.
Why doesn't 48KHz work, and where are higher rates, where is 24bit
recording?
Thanks for any advice.
