I am still failing to record from by DAT via S/PDIF on a MidiMan
DiO2496. Last time I asked this question i was asked if I had used
arecord -Dplug:spdif a.wav
and the answer is now yes I have and I get no input at all (just the
wav header for 0 samples). If I use
arecord a.wav
I get a file of zero samples.
I somehow assume the problem is with .asoundrc which in my case I have
not got, and I have totally failed to find any documentation for it.
Or it could be the controls -- I have tried a number of variants with
no effect.
It looks like I am going to have to reboot to Windows98 yet again.
