Unforunately, Xavier, though the rear speakers are supported under native
Alsa, they are not supported with the OSS emulation for Alsa, so only a
handful of applications with native Alsa support can make use of the rear
speakers.

In addition, the driver defaults to only outputting to the front speakers
for Alsa applications, unless otherwise specificed. For example:

$ aplay foo.wav

This will output to the front speakers.

$ aplay -Dhw:0,2 foo.wav

This will play foo.wav on the rear speakers. Currently, there is no way
to output the same sound file on both the front and rear speakers at the
same time.
