Hello,
I've got an Delta Audiophile 2494 card. It worked (execpt recording) with the
alsa 0.9 beta 7. Two days ago I updated from Mandrake 8.0 to 8.1. The drivers
Mandrake installed didn't work (it was an alsa 0.5.x driver, at the moment I
don't know the exact version) I decided to install the 0.9 beta 10 driver and
I didn't get it to work. Compiling all five packages worked without problems.
I edited modules.conf and devfsd.conf. When I try to play a sound with aplay
the computer totally freezes, the mouse pointer doesn't move, even login via
telnet doesn't work any more. I suspect, it might be a problem with devfs,
because it was new installed with Mandrake 8.1. I compiled the driver with the
debug option, but I didn't get any messages.
Has anybody an idea what to do?
