You can probably forget about using it with ALSA. I have talked to people at
both HP and Conexant (that's
who manufactures the Rockwell part, subsidiary/subdivision... of Rockwell) and
they refuse to release any
documentation. The guy at Conexant (if I recall correctly, he was the sales guy
for the part) said that the part in
my HP was an OEM part (read, we won't tell you anything; talk to HP ... who also
won't tell you anything) and is
now discontinued, as well.
Very disappointing!
