My dear friend has a receiver which uses digital audio input, and
outputs audio into a surround system.
He has hearing aids which respond to "earphone jack" input, but when he
plugs in his hearing aids, the receiver's output cuts off.
The tape recorder "outputs" won't output any audio coming from the "TV
receiver," to cut down on piracy I guess, so his question is how to get
the output from the receiver to feed both his aids and the surround
sound speakers.
His needs for the aids are a simple audio signal.
