Dane,

I probably should know this, but which of the Echos can function as one of a
pair of stereo speakers? Is this new with a particular generation? Does one
unit act as the main control unit and the other link to the first similar to a
Bluetooth speaker or how does this work?

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

Hi,

This started in Australia Yesterday and continues today so it's a great time
to catch up on some Echo deals.

If you're starting out with Echo for the first time then perhaps you might
wish to grab yourself an Echo Dot 3rd generation for $45, that's what
they're being offered for here which is a bargain so you can make yourself a
nice pair of little stereo speakers for under a hundred dollars.

The Dot 3rd Generation sounds absolutely amazing for its size and even
better if you have two in a pair.

If you wish to move up the line and want something feature packed then the
Echo Plus 2nd Generation is $114 Australian at the moment so I took the
opportunity to buy me a second so now I have a pair.

The Echo Plus 2nd Generation has a built-in internal temperature sensor
along with a bridge so devices such as Philips Hue lights are automatically
discovered and thus can be controlled straight from Alexa itself.
