The subject line says it all. Good response for mixing, on-the-ear
versus the earcup variety of headphone. These usually have the driven
element closer to the ear than the ones that cup the ear, as well as
letting the wearer hear more external sounds. Some people don't like
this, but there are definitely applications where letting in a little
more outside noise is required, such as when one is in a broadcast
setting and must be attentive to external sound stimuli.
