I can only shake my head at all this.
I’ve been using Windows 10 for what.. 3 years now?
I heard all those dooms dayers say that I’d regret installing Windows 10,
everything would slow to a crawl etc but thankfully quite the reverse is true
here for all my Windows PC machines which are running 10.
I don’t use Winamp but I do use VLC and its like lightning when it comes to
loading and changing files even on the Nuc machine which doesn’t have a lot of
power.
The only real way to find out what’s going on is to double-down and do some
really good troubleshooting.
The first thing I’d do if such things were happening here would be to backup my
system, do a clean install and gradually reinstall from the backup you have or
install original pieces of software one by one and note any difference in
performance that occurs when each new piece of software is installed.
Of course if you had Rollback RX installed on your system then this process of
elimination would be speed up considerably as you could “Rollback” in time
literally.
Registry cleaners? Well people do and people don’t use them, I give them a miss
as they’re usually more trouble than they’re worth.
Cleaner has been mentioned and that’s dead useful for cleaning up redundant
files etc but I just don’t use the Registry cleaner.
