I usually only have one or two cups, and positively hate cold coffee,
but I like a dab of 1/2 & 1/2. So what I do is pour my little dab of 1/2
& 1/2 into my cup, and stick it in the warming drawer under the oven. I
wait a couple minutes, and boil a cup of water (12 ounces actually
because I have a cup that holds about 1-1/2 cups). I then pour the
boiling water through a single-serve Melita filter with a couple scoops
of my favorite ground coffee.
Once that is done, I have my hot brewed coffee with a little dab of
pre-warmed 1/2 & 1/2 and all is right with the world.
It's a ritual...

And should you add the cold milk to your hot coffee immediately or wait?

Researchers are still debating this issue. It apparently is not easy to
replicate what is known as the Mpemba effect; or even if it exists.
