The thing I like most about them is the network extender functionality.
I can daisy chain them with Cat5 and properly extend my wireless network
without having 1000 different SSIDs or killing performance with a
wireless extender. I've done this with an Airport extreme in my house
and an Airport express in my detached garage and it works seamlessly.
I haven't been able to find another product (other than Mikrotik) that
can do this that either doesn't cost a fortune or doesn't require a
separate controller to manage wireless clients and roaming.

I know some WISP's beef with them was because the WISP wasn't properly
IPing their network. What other concerns are there?

Finally! There routers have caused more than their fair share of support
calls. I say good riddance.
