I didn’t hear anything about $3/sub for their other 6 GHz product line (450v).
In any case, I’d guess it’s yearly not monthly. And is it per sub or per AP?

I’d worry more that assuming BEAD does push fiber to most locations currently
served via FWA, not only do non-fiber WISPs go under, but so does the (non 5G)
FWA ecosystem. Can Cambium or Tarana survive if 90% of their sales go away? I
assume that’s why Cambium is trying so hard to push into fiber, and Ubiquiti
has pivoted to prosumer CPE stuff. We might have to stockpile radios the way
Elaine on Seinfeld hoarded birth control sponges.

It’s good to know they’ll be trying to take $3 a sub out of my pocket in a few
years. Maybe that’ll be long enough in the meantime to keep the subs until I
can get fiber there and get rid of parasites that take $ per sub for doing very
little.

I think it checks with the AFC once per day to make sure no new Part 101 links
have been added to the database. Unfortunately both AP and CPE need GPS, they
don’t trust a certified professional installer to register the lat/lon like
with CBRS.

Cambium I believe absorbs the AFC cost.

Remind me how 6ghz works....is the device supposed to talk to the FCC
mothership and get permission to use the channel?

Getting over 500Mbps on an 80MHz channel in 6GHz with the ePMP 4600 2x2 AP gear
at -66dB - customer happy!
