We built a network-enabled swiss army knife.

In our network, we occasionally need a cheap and dirty remote reset (or add-on
ping watchdog). Sometimes we just want to monitor remote temperature or
voltage, or we want to get paged if a cabinet gets too hot. All of this, and a
lot more, comes in a tiny $100 box we call the Net Hatchet.

The Alyrica Net Hatchet provides:

a.. RJ45 jack for network access

  b.. Web-based administration

  c.. Built in temperature sensor

  d.. Built in voltage sensor

  e.. 3 inputs

  f.. 1 relay on/off output

  g.. 1 fan-control output (supplies 5v to fan)

h.. Remote manual control, or ping watchdog control, or temperature based
control

  i.. SMTP email notifications

  j.. SNMP trap notifications

  k.. SNMP variable access

l.. Easy script access for custom applications

  m.. runs on 9.5 to 53 volts

n.. POE or barrel power jack

o.. Very low power use (1.5w)

  p.. Operates -30 to +60 degrees C (-22 to 140 degrees F) industrial
temperature range

Simply put, the Hatchet will connect anything you can think of to the internet.
