You will notice that the advertisement for Alvarion's new backhaul
product was sent to you from a new list server called
[EMAIL PROTECTED] I want to tell you all a little about this new
list and why you are a member of it. We decided that we needed an easy
way for our vendor members to have the ability to reach all of WISPA and
an easy way for us to send their announcements to you. We have created
this list specifically for that purpose. This is not a publicly
available list server. The only way anyone can post to it is through the
WISPA board's approval.
We also decided that it would be nice if those of you who have
subscribed to several WISPA lists did not receive the same advertisement
multiple times when it goes out. From now on we will update the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] list each time a sponsored ad is created and we
will make sure duplicate email addresses from multiple list servers are
removed from the list. That way even if you are on 10 WISPA lists you
will only receive the sponsorship message one time. I know this sounds a
little funny since I just sent the Alvarion ad to you again but I think
you will all notice it only went to each email address once today even
if you were subscribed to several lists. At least we hope that is the
way it has worked. If not then let me know and we will make sure this is
corrected.
