Are you sending or receiving messages? Can you show full Spring context with simple code example? I tried to use PooledSpringXAConnectionFactory without Jencks JCA only with Spring 2.0 message driven POJO, but it was unsuccessful - http://forum.springframework.org/showthread.php?t=28044
