As part of our Knowledge-sharing Session, for the month of August.we take pleasure in inviting you to: An interactive Talk on Accessible Talking ATMs and Banking Services by Mr. Prashant Naik. But.how many of these are accessable to the blind yet? Well, we may soon be heading in the direction of progress in making banking facilities accessable to the blind! Today almost everyone carries an ATM card in his wallet to suit his growing requirements and changing lifestyle. Wouldn't it be wonderful to see many banks installing / enabling ATMs for blind with talking functionality? Curious about how Talking ATMs function? Join BGFI's Enlightening Session this month as Mr. Prashant Naik, a significant contributor to the developments on talking ATMs, takes us through the Accessible world of Banking for the Blind. About our speaker "Prashant Naik" Prashant Naik is a well known access technology expert,working with one of the largest nationalize bank -the Union Bank of India- in the officer cadre. Prashant holds a first class degree in Computer Applications and he is a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist. He is also a well -known computer trainer. Prashant has given great contribution in the field of technologies for the blind and he has played a vital role in the development of talking ATM for the blind in India. Prashant was honored by the NATIONAL AWARD FOR THE EMPOWERMENT OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES. 2012 in the "Role Model" category on 6th February 2013 by Hon'ble President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee. Prashant Naik also got appreciation from his bank's Executive Director in just three months of joining his bank and he was felicitated by Union Bank's top management for his contributions in the Union Bank's Truly Accessible Talking ATM which has been recognized by Indian Bank's Association (IBA) as MODEL talkin g ATM for other banks to follow.
