hello and greetings to every1 this time, i've came across a jaws script which can work like your appointment calaander, alarm clock, timer, and much more.
it is known as PersonalAlarm please go to http://www.jaws-users.com/scripts/JAWS/PersonalAlarmJFWPlug-in.zip and download the file. please note, that for this script to work properly, you need to open script editors and make changes, but as everything is explained in read me files, you dont need to panic. just download and unzip the file. there are 2 files in it, the read me file and the executable ( .exe) file. well, you can view the read me file here, but it is not that important at this step, so just run the executable strangely enough, since this script was designed for jaws 4.51, it tries to install into the different folder ( as the structure was for jaws 4.51) the browsing is pretty strange too ( friendly script with unfriendly installer! very, strange) anyways, to overcome this problam, go to your start menu,> programs> jaws> explore jaws> explore my settings and hit enter. tab once and you land on address field. hit ctrl+ left arrow til you are at the start of the address. then hit ctrl+ shift + right arrow to copy the entire address. for example, C:\Documents and Settings\ruchir\Application Data\Freedom Scientific\JAWS\9.0\Settings\enu and then hit ctrl+c provide this address in the edit field of the installer of the script with ctrl+v and hit next. complete the installation and go to your start menu>programs> Gutterstar> Personal Alarm Plug-in> _read me.txt read this file and understand the key strokes and also, how to compile the scripts. instructions are provided, but still, new users may still find it a little tricky. after you follow all instructions in read me file, compiled the script and gave reference in the default.jss file, 1 important thing i'd like to highlight is, this script have no browsing boxes which let you select the sound file to play for alarms or timers. you can also select different sound files to play as alarm at different events, but by default, to select 1 file for all alarms and default sound for timers, do following. note, in this example, it is assumed that your default drive,in which windows and programs are installed is c: go to c:> windows> media> tata.wav and here, hit ctrl+shift+insert+`, and hit yes on comeing promts. this way, your default sound for timers is set. then hit ctrl+insert+` to set the default sound for alarms. you may also like to review the chime menu, by hitting ctrl+insert+` and the alarm menu by hitting ctrl+insert+a i've presently 4 appointments and 3 events set on a particular date, + my computer chimes in every half hour with jaws announcing time to me. hope this script could be of some help to you all. with warm regards, ruchir. -- As long as forever, I will stay by your side, I'll be your companion, Your friend and your guide!!! www.ruchir89.wordpress.com To unsubscribe send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the subject unsubscribe.
