Dear All,

I recently came across a talk promoting the idea of creating separate
applications specifically for persons with disabilities (Youtube Link included
below). I wanted to share a different perspective.

Instead of building disability‑exclusive apps, I strongly believe we should be
advocating for accessibility within mainstream services. Any digital service
offered to the public should be accessible by default and mandated as such.
There is no need for a separate shopping app when Amazon works accessibly — and
if something breaks, I report it. The same goes for commuting apps like Uber.
Creating separate apps for disabled users leads to limited reach, smaller user
bases, and isolation from mainstream platforms.
Accessibility should not be a parallel system; it should be an integral part of
the services everyone uses.

Would love to hear your thoughts.
