I recently tested the Blinkit app on my iPhone running iOS 18.6.2, utilizing VoiceOver to navigate and place an order for toothpaste. Despite the app not being fully accessible, I was able to successfully find the item, add it to my cart, and complete the checkout process.
With VoiceOver's assistance, I was able to: - Search and select the desired product - Add the product to my cart and review the items with pricing - Navigate to the cart and proceed to checkout - Enter and save my delivery address - Choose a payment method and complete the order While the app showed some accessibility limitations, the overall experience was relatively smooth. However, I don't anticipate frequent use of this app, as I typically prefer ordering essentials like toothpaste through Amazon Fresh, which allows me to bundle items for free delivery. This experience highlights the importance of accessibility in app development, and I'm glad to see that Blinkit is working towards improving user experience. *Special mention to the work of Ashitosh in driving accessibility awareness with these application developers. -- Disclaimer: 1.
