Dear All, Greetings from Blind Graduates Forum of India (BGFI)!
This Sunday, we invite you along with family / friends to a show at the Nehru Planetarium followed by a walk through an Art Exhibition. Wouldn’t it be a magnificent experience “feeling the art” – paintings which even the blind can see? Happen to hear about the Pune artist Chintamani Hasabnis's paintings? It was the sight of a visually challenged lady crossing a busy road in Pune that made Hasabnis think of how he could help the visually Challenged enjoy a visual art like painting. Hasabnis is showcasing 22 of his paintings at Mumbai's Nehru Centre in an exhibition titled 'Closed Eyes Open Minds'. Part of the proceeds will be used to aid the visually challenged, including making books in Braille for them. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/pune/Feeling-the-art-this-artist-makes-paintings-even-the-blind-can-see/articleshow/49122467.cms Details of the Event: Date: Sunday, October, 4, 2015 Time: 2:00 p.m. @ Elphinstone Station 2:45 p.m. @ Nehru Planetarium, Those wishing to join in the group to walk through the exhibition directly may do so around 4:30 p.m. The ticket per adult for the show at the Planetarium is Rs.60/- and for children is Rs.40/- Those carrying their proof of Disability can expect a discount in the ticket price.
