Hi friends,

I have been following the debate that is going on in the list regarding the
jobs in IT sector and inability of organizations to impart adequate training
etc. I want to draw attention at the fact that we live at a variety of levels.
It will never be possible to train all the blind population in everything.
What Geetha said is very true that we will have to take self-initiative after
the starting push. Besides, there are basic needs of the rural blind and also
the not-so intelligent blind which have to be met. Hence, please be tolerant.

In any case, if I consider this list as the cream of indian blind (and it truly
is) then I am shocked by the spelling errors our friends make. If we are going
to be representatives of our community then I feel we better buckle up
ourselves. No offence meant but I think this needs to be emphasized and
re-emphasized. Let us not have a division amongst the blind of "haves" and
"have-nots"
