Hi I am pasting a message regarding a software called 'Wubi' which I received from CNET download.com. It seems that wubi lets Windows users install and run Ubuntu on Windows machine. And a good thing about it is it is a free software. Here is the actual message:---
Linux on Windows The alternative, open-source operating system Linux has been making news recently. Last week, Dell began shipping PCs with the Linux distribution Ubuntu pre-installed, and on Friday I took a look at Wubi (http://software-files.download.com/sd/so1gScNaHYu8O6NPQaOpDXBqH1783uVoxmR_Qb5-n7NMZKD00yBh-yfM-rIDWyE9CLKu_fR4Qg0l2xC5EQbSsayeVzwQOdah/software/10689086/10689087/3/Wubi-7.04-test2.exe?lop=link&ptype=3000&ontid=2098&siteId=4&edId=3&pid=10689086&psid=10689087), free Windows software that lets you install and run Ubuntu on your Windows machine without creating a boot CD or partitioning your hard drive. According to recent stats from W3Counter, Linux still holds only a tiny fraction of the personal-computing market share (slightly less than Windows 98!), but there's definitely a convergence going on within Windows, Mac, and Linux software development. The excellent personal-finance software GnuCash was recently ported from Linux to Windows, and the Lina project plans to soon release software that will let Windows and Mac users run Linux software on the OS of their choice. ---end of the message--- Now what we have to worry is whether or not it is accessible with Jaws or any other screen reading software.
