If this is the case, why does abiword generate RTF that uses the shppict
control? When I use abiword to import a .doc with an image, then save the file
as .rtf, it clearly uses shppict:
                                vvvvvvv
\par\pard\plain\ltrpar\itap0{\*\shppict{\pict\pngblip\picw106\pich87\picwgoal211
9\pichgoal1739
\bliptag10000{\*\blipuid 00000000000000000000000000002710}
