I was in Chicago this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised when I found a goldmine of KDJ records at Gramaphone. On Saturday afternoon I picked up the two records that they had -- "Shades of Jae w/ The Set up" and "Amerika" -- then on Sunday afternoon when I came back to the store I found tons: "Small Black Church," "Black Mahogony," "Lot Hot Sex Nights," "Lake Shore Drive," "Misled," "Sunday morning," etc.
So it seems as though these just got put out on Sunday. Only one of the records is etched with a reprint notice. Can't remember which one though. Did I stumble onto these reprints that you are speaking of? I've been frustrated at the difficuties I've faced getting these records at Melodies and Memories and was overwhelmed with joy upon finding these. I'm just wondering if I got lucky or what exactly the story is. The guys at Gramaphone were oblivious to the situation.
