I think someone was asking about the new amp fiddler record the other day.
I found a review I posted of it a while ago, so I'm just posting it again
for that person (can't remember who it was)

 Amp Fiddler ? Love & War - Genuine 12"
Jesus. This is better than Superficial, it's like half an LP rather than
an EP! The first track A1 reminds of Moodymann's 'don't be misled', that
beautiful raw lo-fi downbeat house sound laced with mad atmospheric
samples. Class. The 'version' of Love & War (A2) goes for a more upbeat
feel, a slicker lounge sound. Freakin' (B1) sounds like Prince stuck in
a phone box with a ruck of acid and a Casio keyboard. It's feckin ace, A
really weird downbeat off kilter number. B2 is my least favourite, 'This
is How' (although still extremely pleasing) which just leaves Kenny
Dixon to turn in a mix of 'eye 2 eye'. One of his driving raw disco cuts
that will murder the dancefloors, this is an outstanding MM track that
deserves far more vinyl than its been given. IT'S TOO SHORT!! In fact, I
have to wonder why all 5 brilliant tracks have been squashed onto one
   12. I'd have been happy with my moneys worth with just A1, B1 and B3. I
reckon there's something for everyone here.
